BRINGIN BACK LIFE TO A FORGOTTEN STRUCTURE

Once a corner local noodle shop, the site has so much potential to become something more for the neighborhood. The building was built in 1969 as an office building, as Cambodia crumbling through the Khmer Rouge Era from 1975 to 1979, this building was abandoned and forgotten. With a site in the heart of Phnom Penh, a great place for travelers to explore, Lavanya has establish itself to become a destination, a story of redemption, and a place to rest. The renovation was a challenge, the idea is to redesign and renovate the space to pay homage to the past and aesthetically to please the present.
